Christopher Peter Meloni was an American actor, best known for playing in the well-known television series Law & Order Special Victims Unit'. His interest in acting began in his early college days. He studied acting at University of Colorado at Boulder. He was also active in film and TV, his roles on the small screen were what earned him popularity. The ability of his characters to appear on both sides of law is what has caught the attention of the public. In his first TV series, he played the part of a killer. Then, he went on to play the part of an NYPD Detective. Because of his portrayal on the small screen, he's been nominated many times for the highly coveted Emmy Awards. It is his trademark striking blue eyes that are said to make him look handsome. They have helped to portray tough characters in a charming manner. He was featured in 2006 when he appeared in the People's publication's Sexiest Men Alive list.
